下面具体讲述四种驱动程序的安装方法。
1 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQncr8.360”的驱动升级盘安装SCSI驱动
2 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQary8.220”的驱动升级盘安装Smart Array驱动
3 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQfcs8.200”的驱动升级盘安装光纤通道驱动
4 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQary28120”的驱动升级盘安装Compaq Second Generation Array

l 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQncr8.360”的驱动升级盘安装SCSI驱动
安装 SCSI 驱动 分五步
1. 驱动盘内容
2. 支持的硬件
3. 在装过程中安装驱动/支持包
4. 安装或升级驱动
5. 卸装驱动

1. 驱动盘内容
驱动升级磁盘包含 CPQncr 支持包，版本1.4.0 ，该版本包含 Compaq SCSI 控制器驱动, "cpqncr", 版本 3.60，Compaq SCSI 控制器驱动3.6 版本附加包含集成单通道Wide Ultra2 SCSI 控制器。
2. 支持的硬件
该驱动支持以下Compaq SCSI控制器
* Compaq 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2 EISA/PCI Controller (825)
* Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI PCI Controller (875)
* Compaq Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI-3 Controller (876)
* Compaq Dual Channel Ultra-2 SCSI Controller (896)
* Compaq Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra-2 SCSI Controller
* Compaq Integrated Single Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Controller
3. 在安装过程中安装驱动/支持包
用上面提到的Compaq SCSI 控制器作为引导控制器去引导Solaris 8
a. 用 配置辅助软盘或 Solaris 8 Software 1 of 2 CD. 引导 Solaris
b. 当配置屏幕出现时,选择 F4 option (F4_Add Driver)
c. 当出现 'Install Supplemental Drivers' 屏幕时，插入 CPQncr8.360 驱动盘
d. 按 F2_Continue.
e. cpqncr 驱动暂时被装载到内存中
f. 在这一步你可以添加其他相适应的驱动，然后按F4_Done.
g. 标识设备驱动屏幕将显示出来
h. 按F2_Continue. 继续安装Solaris 操作系统
i. 最后，安装程序提示再次插入CPQncr8.360 DU 驱动软盘
j. 重新插入CPQncr8.360 DU驱动软盘
k. 按< Enter>继续.
l. 下面信息将从屏幕显示出来

4. 安装或升级驱动
a. 在系统前以超级用户身份
b. 检查Volume Management是否在运行
# ps -ef | grep vold
c. 如果在运行，停掉它
# /etc/init.d/volmgt stop
d. 把CPQncr8.360 DU 软盘插入软驱
e. Mount CPQncr8.360 DU 软盘at any mount point (e.g., /mnt)
# mount -F pcfs /dev/diskette /mnt
f. 在磁盘上运行安装脚本
# /mnt/DU/sol_28/i86pc/Tools/install.sh -i
g. 如果是第一次安装CPQncr 包,成功安装的信息将显示出来

h. 如果已经有一个老的版本CPQncr 包, 屏幕将提示

5. 卸装驱动
a. 确信引导控制器不是Compaq SCSI 控制器（被 "cpqncr" 驱动所支持）
b. 以超级用户身份.
c. 检查你的系统是否安装了compaq 驱动
# pkginfo -l | grep CPQncr
d. 如果 CPQncr 软件包已经安装，屏幕将显示下面的信息
PKGINST: CPQncr
e. 用下面的命令卸装驱动
# pkgrm CPQncr
f. 屏幕将显示下面的信息

安装 驱动 分三步

1. 驱动盘内容
驱动升级磁盘包含 CPQary 支持包，版本1.1.1，该版本包含 Compaq Smart Array 控制器驱动, "smartii", 版本2.20
2. 支持的硬件
该驱动支持以下Compaq Array 控制器
* Compaq Smart Array 221 Controller
* Compaq Smart Array 3200 Controller
* Compaq Smart Array 3100ES Controller
* Compaq Smart-2DH Array Controller
* Compaq Smart-2SL Array Controller
* Compaq Smart-2P Array Controller
* Compaq Smart-2E Array Controller|
3. 安装支持包的内容.
用上面提到的Compaq Array 控制器作为引导控制器去引导Solaris 8

1. 驱动盘内容
驱动升级磁盘包含CPQfcs支持包, 版本1.0.0该版本包含 Compaq Fibre Channel Storage System 驱动, "cpqfcs",版本 2.00
2. 支持的硬件
* Compaq Fibre Channel Storage System - EISA/PCI
* Compaq 64-Bit/66-MHz Fibre Channel Storage System - PCI
3. 安装支持包
1. 在安装过程中装载cpqfcs 驱动

1. 用Device Configuration Assistant软盘 或Solaris 8 Software/WebStart CD引导机器 .
2. 配置助手屏幕显示时选择 F4 option (F4_Driver Update)
3. 当 'Install Supplemental Drivers' 屏幕显示时插入CPQfcs8.200 软盘
4. 按 F2_继续
5. cpqfcs 驱动将被加载到内存
6. 在这一步你可以添加其他相适应的驱动，然后按F4_Done..
7. 标识设备驱动屏幕将显示出来
8. 按F2_Continue. 继续安装Solaris 操作系统
9. 最后，安装程序提示再次插入CPQfcs8.200 DU驱动软盘
10. 重新插入CPQfcs8.200驱动软盘.
11. 按< Enter>继续
12. 成功安装CPQfc包时屏幕将显示

1. 以超级拥护身份
2. 检查Volume Management I是否运行
# ps -ef | grep vold
3. 如果在运行，停掉它
# /etc/init.d/volmgt stop
4. 插入CPQfcs8.200 DU 软盘
5. Mount the CPQfcs8.200 DU 软盘at the /mnt mount point:
# mount -F pcfs /dev/diskette0 /mnt
6. 执行安装脚本
# /mnt/DU/sol_28/i86pc/Tools/install.sh -i
7. 成功安装信息将从屏幕显示

8. Unmount the diskette from the / directory:
# umount /mnt
9. 从软驱中移调软盘
10. 重新启动系统
# reboot
11. 在启动时用"b -r"作为启动参数

4 在Solaris 8 上用卷标为“CPQary28120”的驱动升级盘安装Compaq Second Generation Array
安装Compaq Second Generation Array 驱动分为六步
1. 驱动盘内容
2. 支持的硬件
3. 在安装过程中安装驱动
4. 安装或升级驱动
5. 在Compaq Integrated Smart Array Controlle配置磁带设备
6. 卸载驱动

1. 驱动盘内容
软盘包含CPQary2 包, 版本1.2.0. 该版本包含 Compaq Second Generation Array 控制器驱动，The Compaq Second Generation Array 控制器驱动版本1.20 附加支持Compaq RAID LC2 控制器
2. 支持的硬件
该驱动支持下列Compaq Second Generation Array控制器
* Compaq Integrated Smart Array Controller
* Compaq Smart Array 4200 Controller
* Compaq Smart Array 4250ES Controller
* Compaq Smart Array 431 Controller
* Compaq RAID LC2 Controller
3. 在安装过程中安装驱动
注意 : Web Start 安装方式不支持这种磁盘升级驱动
用上面提到的Compaq Second Generation Array 控制器作为引导控制器
a. 用 Solaris Configuration Assistant 软盘或 Solaris Software CD 1 of 2 启动机器
b. 当Configuration Assistant 屏幕显示时,选择 F4 option (F4_Add Driver)
c. 当'Install Supplemental Drivers' 屏幕显示时, 插入CPQary28120 DU 软盘
d. 按F2_继续.|
e. 这一步 'cpqary2' 驱动将装载到内存中
f. 你可以添加其他相适应的驱动，按F4_Done.
g. 设备标识屏幕将显示
h. 按 F2_Continue. 继续安装Solaris 操作系统
i. 最后安装程序提示你再次插入CPQary28120 DU 软盘
j. 重新插入CPQary28120 DU 软盘
k. 按〈Press〉继续
l. 成功安装屏幕信息将显示

4. 安装或升级驱动

6. 卸载驱动
a. 确信Compaq Second Generation Array不是引导控制器.
b. 以超级用户身份
c. 用下面命令检查软件包是否安装
# pkginfo -l | grep CPQary2
d. 如果CPQary2 已经安装，屏幕将显示
PKGINST: CPQary2
e. 用下面命令删除软件包
# pkgrm CPQary2
f. 屏幕将显示
